How do I apply the fair practices principles?
The Fair Practices Charter defines four principles for collaborations in the arts sector: solidarity, transparency, sustainability and responsibility.
This charter was approved by the members of art sector federation oKo, after a participatory work process, and is being made accessible to everyone in the arts sector, along with an online toolbox. These principles apply to collaborations in all artistic disciplines and genres:
- solidarity: collective social responsibility for the appreciation of work and quality collaborations.
- transparency: equal participation in discussions about expectations and the appreciation of everyone’s input.
- sustainability: to build knowledge and experience in professional collaborations within the applicable frameworks.
- responsibility: sharing responsibility based on mutual trust.
This is the indicative framework for twelve agreements, as a guideline for practice. Individuals and organisations endorse Juist is Juist and together we create movement.
In addition to the four principles and twelve agreements, there are also tools developed for all art disciplines and for every situation.
