Stel je kandidaat om als regisseur te werken met kwetsbare groepen uit de regio Campania (Napels) van 5 tot 18 december 2021.

Theaterfestival ‘Quartieri di Vita’ (Napels-Salerno) zoekt een regisseur uit Vlaanderen om gedurende twee weken te werken met kwetsbare groepen uit de regio Campania.

Een regisseur uit Vlaanderen met een sociaal geëngageerde praktijk wordt uitgenodigd om van 5 tot 18 december 2021 te werken met een groep kwetsbare burgers, en in samenwerking met een Italiaans regisseur. De workshop zal doorgaan in het Italiaans omdat niet alle deelnemers Engels machtig zijn, en er wordt een tolk Italiaans Nederlands voorzien. De duur van de workshop varieert tussen 4 en 6 uren per dag. Op 15 en 16 december 2021 zal het publiek kunnen deelnemen in de vorm van open repetities, of er kan ook overwogen worden om gebruik te maken van digitale media om de brug te leggen met publiek. Op 17 december worden de ervaringen tijdens de workshops gedeeld onder regisseurs tijdens een partner meeting. In september 2021 zal de geselecteerde regisseur uit Vlaanderen kennismaken met de groep en de Italiaanse regisseur via videoconferencing, en zullen ze samen de workshop voorbereiden.

Context

Deze workshop wordt georganiseerd in het kader van ‘Quartieri di vita’, een jaarlijks festival rond kunst en samenleving in de regio Campania (Napels, Salerno). Voor deze 6de editie wensen de organisatoren ook buitenlandse kunstenaars te betrekken. Daarvoor hebben ze 7 kwetsbare groepen gekozen die daarvoor open staan, zoals vrouwen die het slachtoffer zijn van geweld, kwetsbare jongeren, migranten, anders validen en mensen met psychische stoornissen. Per groep is er ook een Italiaans regisseur. Elke groep (samen met de Italiaanse regisseur) zal een workshop van twee weken volgen onder leiding van een buitenlands regisseur, die ervaring heeft met specifieke kwetsbaarheden. Daarvoor werkt het festival samen met buitenlandse culturele instituten zoals bijvoorbeeld het Goethe Institut, Czech Cultural Institute, Austrian Cultural Forum, Institut Français, Instituto Cervantes, Embassy of Lithuania enz, die één regisseur zullen voordragen uit hun land. Voor Vlaanderen werkt de Vlaamse Diplomatieke Vertegenwoordiging te Rome samen met Kunstenpunt om een regisseur uit Vlaanderen te selecteren.

Voorwaarden

Kandidaten zij actief in, en verbonden met de Vlaamse kunstscene, hebben een sociaal-geëngageerde kunstpraktijk en aanwijsbare ervaring met participatie: werken met kwetsbare groepen. Kandidaten zijn beschikbaar voor de hele periode. Het is niet noodzakelijk om Italiaans te spreken of te begrijpen. 

De organisator voorziet in reis- en verblijfkosten en een fee.

Organisatie

Culturele instituten en culturele vertegenwoordigers werken dikwijls samen in de verschillende hoofdsteden. Die samenwerking wordt gestimuleerd en ondersteund door EUNIC, European Union National Institutes for Culture – the European network of organisations engaging in cultural relations from all EU member states. In Italië werken ze dit jaar samen met het theaterfestival. De Vlaamse Diplomatieke Vertegenwoordiging te Rome is lid van EUNIC Italië.

FEMMINILE PLURALE

a group of adult, non-professional women from Forcella and difficult neighbourhoods

Italian director: Marina Rippa

She deals with non-verbal languages, body dramaturgy, actor training and theatrical pedagogy. She has supervised training and studies on movement for various shows, produced by public and private theaters and leads seminars, training workshops and open classes of movement in collaboration with various Italian theatrical entities. She specializes in psychokinetics (Le Boulch) and the Feldenkrais Method®. In 1992 she founded the theater research group “libera mente” (“free mind”), and in 2012 the association “f.pl. femminile plurale”. Since 1996 she has been investigating the female world, realizing theatrical projects with non-professional women of all ages. In particular, she created the project “La scena delle delle donne nel quartiere Forcella di Napoli” (“The scene of women in the Forcella district of Naples”), which she has been managing since 2007 in collaboration with various organizations and institutions.

Italian director: Enzo Mirone

Actor, director, video-maker, performer and musician. He carries out his path of “artistic” training, which he still pursues, with great energy and enthusiasm including the study and stage practice of different theater techniques such as the body mime of Decroux, the Biomechanics of the Russian school of Mejerchol’d, the specialties of the Circus and in particular, those of the Clown, the mask of the Commedia dell’Arte and the Balinese Dance, the Kathakali Dance, the Beijing Opera, the Acrobatic Arts and Music. Since 2013 he has been working on the project “dai luoghi della vertigine” (“from places of vertigo”) based on the teaching of basic technique and the use of stilts for the purpose of meeting, sharing their daily lives and recounting the lives of children and adolescents in different parts of the world with particular attention to those socially disadvanted by conditions of marginalization and hardship. The stages carried out so far have brought him to Africa (Senegal, Gambia) and India (Tamil Nadu).

Italian director: Rosario Lerro was born in Caserta on 20.03.1979. He is an actor, director and a theatre teacher. He graduated as a theatre worker specialized in “disadvantaged areas”at the School of Training of professional figures in the field of the show “Progetto Technè”. He took part in stages and workshops with the directors Enzo Toma (Maccabèteatro), Antonio Viganò (Teatro la Ribalta and Oiseau Mouche), Nicoletta Robello (Teatro Stabile delle Marche), Lello Tedeschi (Teatro Kismet), Gesualdi|Trono (Teatringestazione), Elena Bucci (Le Belle Bandiere), Annalisa Terlizzi (Trans-Formas / Barcelona). He has collaborated with the Centro Studi Franco C. Greco, Ass. Culturale “F. Durante”, Onorevole Teatro Casertano–SempreApertoTeatroGaribaldi. He collaborates with L’ARCI Caserta dealing with the organization of theater workshops within departments of mental health of the ASL (Local Health Centre) Caserta.

Mixed group WOMEN WITH ADDICTION PROBLEMS YOUNG MIGRANTS AND ASYLUM SEEKERS

Italian director: Gina Ferri

Since 1991 she has been working in the field, playing different roles on stage, behind the scenes and also as a theatre teacher for children and young people in public and private schools. After attending the workshops of Writing and Dramaturgy by Francesco Silvestri, on Singing, Mime and Disguise held respectively by Michele Monetta, Margherita Galante and Ciro Damiano, she began her acting career by participating in the recording of the radio dramas “I racconti di H.Hesse”, “Partitura” and “Alice nel paese delle meraviglie” directed by Claudio di Palma and the show “Ma ll’aneme se vestisì” with Carlo Croccolo and the same Claudio Di Palma. She continues to act in the shows directed by Ruggero Cappuccio such as “Mosaico Sadico mo mo sai cosa dico”, “L’orso”, “Monsieur de Poursognac”, “Le Farse Cavaiole”, “I cento attori”, “Mai più amore per sempre”, “King Lear”, “Desideri Mortali” and “Il Sorriso di San Giovanni”.

MAGNIFICO VISBAAL TEATRO 

Note on the group to be identified again, we imagine the teenagers of the popular district Triggio mixed with the participants of the permanent social laboratory of the Magnificent Visbaal Theatre. 

Italian diretor: Pepe Fonzo

He’s an actor and a playwright. Graduated from the Dams in Bologna with a thesis on experimental theatre in the Bologna 90’s. In his training he met several masters such as Enrique Vargas “Teatro de Los Sentidos” in Barcelona. Ruggero Cappuccio, Franco Scaldati, Claudio Di Palma, Laura Curino. He participated in the MASTER TECHNE’ (Artistic Direction of Ruggero Cappuccio) Specialization: Theater Worker in Disadvantaged Areas. He manages the Magnifico Visbaal Teatro di Benevento and is an art director of the theatre season of Teatro Contemporaneo Magnifico Teatro, (VII edition).

To contribute to the contrast of these phenomenologies and in line with the mission of the Association of the new theater Health, it has identified as a target for the workshop for young people aged between 18 and 30 years of the city of Naples and the province.

Italian director: Mario Gelardi

In 2017 he received the Giuseppe Fava Prize for his artistic and cultural commitment. His theatrical career has often crossed with that of Roberto Saviano, with whom he wrote three shows, taken from three books of which he was director and author.

Italian director: Andrea Vellotti is a Neapolitan actor and director. Born in 1982, he graduated from the Accademia Nazionale d’Arte Drammatica Silvio D’Amico in 2008 with the qualification of an actor, studying in those years and later among others with Lindsay Kemp, Emma Dante, Valerio Binasco, Peter Clough, Luca Ronconi, Anna Marchesini, Lorenzo Salveti, Charlotte Munkso, Danio Manfredini, Roberto Romei.
