Arteventura – Artists in residence – call 2026
Arteventura is an artist’s residency on a wooded estate of 25 ha deep in the Spanish inland. A philosophy of autonomy and back to basics form the foundation of the project.
Mission
Arteventura offers silence, space and time to engage in research and development, take risks and create new and adventurous work. The focus of the residency is on process, research and experimentation, as part of the artistic work. A connection between research and residency is encouraged, with the content of the research guiding and defining the residency.

We are committed to making a positive impact on the planet through sustainability initiatives and eco-friendly practices. From energy savings to locally sourced products, we strive to offer responsible and green choices. However, we also expect from you, artists, awareness and engagement. Together we can contribute to a greener future. Please take this into consideration when applying.
Accomodation
There are maximum 4 artists at any given moment in time. Each resident has its own selfcatering apartment, set up as a flexible working area. There are 2 individual flats of ±40 m2 for a single artist and 1 two-bedroom apartment that can be used by a single artist (bedroom + workspace), or by a duo that wants to work on a joint project.
Studio
The communal studio of 300 m2 consist of an inside and outside working area. It is always possible to work in the open air. After all, the finca is 25 hectares and some parts are still wild. A workstation can be set up.
