Video reeks Do The Dance

“Contemporary dance is difficult,” it often sounds. Yet a lot of artists’ artistic works show that dance can be like a language in which people of all backgrounds can meet in a most basic, meaningful and refreshing way. Do The Dance illustrates how that happens.

Flanders Arts Institute commissioned De Zendelingen to portray, in a series of short films, some projects in which non-dancers are invited to move along. They show how dance makers in various ways build bridges that reach far beyond the theater walls.
