Open call ‘The Wrong Biennale 2026’
Be part of what might be the world’s largest art exhibition, The Wrong Biennale 2026, by participating in the exhibition “Moons, Castles, Trees”, which has just opened for submissions.

The Wrong Biennale is a global, decentralized art event that since 2013
has created, facilitated, documented, and distributed art across hybrid,
virtual, and physical platforms, with participation from more than
10,000 artists.
The exhibition “Moons, Castles, Trees” is curated by Copenhagen-based
artist & photographer Kasper Bergholt, and artists from any conceivable
background are invited to take part in art-driven explorations of
artificial intelligence, which is the theme of The Wrong Biennale in
2025 and 2026.
The exhibition provides both images and text for participating artists
to use throughout the biennale.
Anyone can download these – even just out of curiosity.
They are available under “Chronotopes Image Pack” on the website.
Previously exhibited material may be submitted.
Submission Details
Who can apply: Artists from all backgrounds are welcome.
What can be submitted
Up to six still images, accompanied by a short description of each image
and a brief artist bio.
Costs
There are no submission fees.
Copyright
Artists retain full copyright of their work.

About the curator
Kasper Bergholt is a Copenhagen-based artist and photographer who
returned to the visual arts in 2023 after a 15-year hiatus.
His work has since appeared in exhibitions and collaborations across
Melbourne, London, New York City, Atlanta, Helsinki, Budapest, Warsaw,
Minneapolis, Chongqing, Taipei, and Glasgow.
He holds a Master of Arts degree from the University of Copenhagen
