Flanders Arts Institute is regularly asked whether we can review grant applications or offer individual support in writing a dossier.
The answer to this is no. We are happy to explain this more, below!
From the assignments for Flanders Arts Institute that are defined in the Arts Decree, we guide individuals in developing their artistic practice. Providing advice and information on subsidies within the Arts Decree is part of this.
Every year there are more than 1,000 dossier applications for the various subsidy lines within the Arts Decree. This is why Flanders Arts Institute organises general initiatives to support subsidy applications so that we do not have to make a selection of who we support, and so that we are accessible to everyone.
In addition, Flanders Arts Institute wants to avoid monotony between different dossiers. Besides, having a grant application read by experts does not guarantee a successful application!
What do we help with?
- Kunstenpunt supports, informs and advises on subsidies within the Arts Decree.
- Each year we organise infosessions and provide brochures on the subsidies within the Arts Decree.
- Two times a year we organise several writing tables, where artists and professionals can work on their grants applications within the Arts Decree along with experts and colleagues.
- Register for our newsletter or keep an eye on our socials to stay up to date about these initiatives.
