PHPCI cries for a contribution for health services

Oproep
International Public Health Palliative Care Conference

What?

The ambition of the 7th International Public Health Palliative Care Conference (Bruges, 20- 23 September 2022) is giving a platform to societal and civic responses complementary to health services to tackle challenges around serious illness, caregiving, dying and bereavement. They want to invite professional artists to join this Academic conference and from their specific disposition, practice and expertise contribute to the discussion.

For whom?

More specifically, they are looking for artists who in their work explore how to perform care, foster connection/compassion and/or shape/facilitate/support processes of grieving and dying, preferably in interaction with other groups and individuals in the here and now of the everyday realm.

Professional artists are welcome to propose a workshop (90 min), and/or intervention (video, photo, visual, installation, performative,…). We ask participants to be present for the full duration of the conference (20- 23 Sept) and participate in daily dialogue sessions. Artists are exempt from the conference fee. We can provide accommodation and cover transport costs. A fee and production budget can be discussed.

How to apply?

Interested? Send an e-mail with a (short!) motivation and/or the work you would like to propose (workshop/intervention/…) to Julie.rodeyns@vub.be before June 30th
