Buenos Tiempos, Int. Open Call for queer artists and activists
Open Call is a project support program for queer artists and activists based in Brussels and selected by open call. Queer artists and activists are often expected to navigate the contexts and expectations of cis-straight institutions and funding bodies in order to develop their work. With this open call, Buenos Tiempos, Int. hopes to propose a non-mixt queer framework for the making of projects.
This program aims to: Support Brussels-based Belgian Francophone and non-Belgian queer artists and activists; foster projects at the intersection of queer art and activism that may struggle to access art funding in Brussels; and provide resources for the development of projects adjacent to cis-straight arts institutions.
Buenos Tiempos, Int. offers a budget of 3,400 EUR (all expenses and taxes included) for an individual or a collective aiming to develop a queer arts and activism project for a period of up to eight months (1 November 2021 to 1 July 2022) in Brussels or elsewhere, and on the website of Buenos Tiempos, Int. For the project period, the website of Buenos Tiempos, Int. can be used for the selected project, and the team of Buenos Tiempos, Int. can provide guidance and assistance with the production of the project and expenditure of the budget.
The selected individual or collective will engage to pursue their project as proposed in the application and within the project period, and participate in a reflection with Buenos Tiempos, Int. on the process of building a non-mixt queer framework for the making of arts and activism projects.
You can continue reading the call (eligibility criteria and selection guidelines) and access the application form here.
This program is funded by Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles.
