Transfer International: exchange programme on digital culture and diversity at Next Level, Düsseldorf

In het kader van het uitwisselingsproject rond digitale cultuur tussen Vlaanderen, Wallonië, Nederland en Nordrhein-Westfalen, ‘Transfer International’ genoemd, wordt een bezoekersprogramma georganiseerd in Keulen en Düsseldorf van 9 tot 12 november 2017 rond kunst en cultuur in relatie tot games.

During the Next level – Festival for Games in Düsseldorf, visits are planned to Cologne (visit of the exhibition “IM SPIELRAUSCH. Von Königinnen, Pixelmonstern und Drachentötern”, Museum of Applied Arts Cologne – MAKK) and to Aachen (visit of the exhibition “Digital Games. Art and Computer Games”, Ludwig Forum Aachen), concert/installation by artist Rochus Aust and his electrophonic orchestra at Heinrich-Heine-Institut in Düsseldorf, award ceremony and reception “Künstlerinnenpreis NRW” – category “Game Design” at NRW-Forum Düsseldorf, party “Level Up, Girls and Boys” at NRW-Forum Düsseldorf, visit of Next Level Festival 2017 (including meetings with artists/organizers/participants), dance performance “How do you fear?” by Fabien Prioville Dance Company at Tanzhaus NRW.

Participants: Bram Michielsen, game designer, curator and co-founder of The House of Indie, and Youri Loedts, writer, consultant and digital storyteller.
