From 12 to 18 November ten Flemish professionals active in performing arts for young audiences will visit artists and art organizations in Quebec and Montreal. This visit takes places in the scope of the cooperation agreement between Flanders and Quebec, both regions decided to focus on performing arts for young audiences.

Programme

The programme takes place during FOCUS Québec, the international arts festival for young audiences Les Coups de théâtre and CINARS Biennale. The itinerary was planned with the cooperation of Maison Théâtre and other organisations for young audiences in Quebec.

This visitors’ programme will allow our guests to:

  • immerse themselves in the work of artists and organisations working for young audiences
  • discover interesting venues and potential partners from Quebec
  • discover the artistic programme of the visited festivals

The expected outcomes of this programme are new Quebec-Flanders collaborations (for example in co-creation, distribution or exchange of expertise) in the field of performing arts for young audiences.

Cultural exchange

The programme takes places in the scope of the cooperation agreement between Flanders and Québec. Both regions decided to focus on performing arts for young audiences during the next three years. This working visit is the follow-up to a visitors’ programme during Krokusfestival 2018.  In 2019, an open call for collaborative projects will be launched to support collaborative projects of creation or distribution in 2019 and 2020.
