Promoting and enhancing Belgian classical, jazz, cross-over & electro-acoustic repertoire from 1830 to today.

The biennial festival “Belgian Music Days” was born in 2018 from the idea of bringing together all language groups in Belgium around common musical heritage. The chronological framework covers written music from 1830 to the present day, with a particular focus on the music of living composers, without limiting itself to creations, but also being open to new genres taught in conservatories such as jazz and electroacoustic music. There is also an educational component to the presentation of our heritage; pupils from music academies, college students and professional musicians alike are actively involved.

The first edition of the Belgian Music Days in 2018 was organised in Leuven at LUCA School of Arts campus Lemmens. The Belgian Music Days 2020 took place in Mons at the Conservatoire Royal de Mons. Edition 3 will take place in Eupen on 12 and 13 March 2022 in collaboration with the OostbelgienFestival
