Open Call Bosacademie

Bosacademie is a development program for young people in Het Bos. It’s a springboard for your own projects and ideas. Bosacademie can be described as an education, a brainstorming session, a learning path, and a presentation platform for young thinkers and doers, as well as artists and creative entrepreneurs. Bosacademie offers you a wide range of opportunities to explore Het Bos and network with other artists and organizations! Do you want to create new music, organize a runway, stage a debate, build an installation, book DJs, create a performance, shoot a music video, paint, turn your kitchen upside down or compose new music? Send us your proposal. No idea is too crazy!

Vruchtbare Grond the ultimate presentation platform for Bosacademie. This arts festival will take place twice in 2026: May 14-24 and September 17-26. But there are also other options to present your work at other times of the year 2026.

Concrete offer:

• Working hours and a workspace at Het Bos in April, May, July, August, or September, minimum 5 days and maximum 20 days
• Possible presentation platform, such as the Vruchtbare Grond festival , which will take place from May 14th to 24th and September 17th to 26th. Het Bos will provide promotion and technical and production support.
• A small participation fee, via Amplo, of at least €150.
• Coaching by professionals
• Invitation to a networking event with other arts, youth, and cultural organizations such as Kunstwerkt, Opendoek, Breedbeeld, De Theatermaker, Fomu, ILA, WP Zimmer, Galerijke Marijke, Pizza Gallery, Mino, deSingel, Fameus, M Hka, VAI, AB, De Koer, and many more.

Criteria:

• You are between 18 and 28 years old.
• You live in Belgium and/or independently reach Het Bos (Ankerrui 5/7, Antwerp)
• Your project includes a public performance as a closing or interim presentation
• Your project aligns with Het Bos’s mission. You actively participate in the Boscademie project. We meet an average of 7 times a year.
• Project proposals are selected based on feasibility, necessity, focus, and relevance, among other factors. We appreciate it if you involve one or more communities in your project.
• Bosacademie, together with the entire Het Bos team, selects approximately 40 projects.
