Wanted: Professional singers for music theater project (m/f/x)
As part of a new music theatre project, MOVEDBYMATTER and Muziektheater Transparant are looking for professional singers/performers with singing talent.
The project is about a multidisciplinary performance with hair suspension (circus) artists and choral music in which we collectively get back in touch with the deeper layers of our consciousness and search for the possibilities for individual and collective transformation. The text and music are composed based on the works of female mystics from the 8th to the 18th century around the world. We’re bringing this together into a modern ritual where connection with the audience is crucial.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for two professional singers and one intern, schooled or self-taught. Being able to read music scores is a plus. In addition, we have an eye for different vocal ranges, ages, etc. We look for performers who are curious about voice use and movement on stage, singers who bring their own experience, personality, skills and wisdom to the table and dare to integrate them into the process.
Who we are
MOVEDBYMATTER is a transdisciplinary arts organization with a focus on circus, led by performance artist Kasper Vandenberghe. As a production house, Muziektheater Transparant enters into an intensive dialogue with artists from different disciplines about current artistic and social issues and aims to create, renew and present music theatre in all its diversity for a wide audience on an international level.
