Call for stories for ARTS. WORK. LIFE.
A podcast from the Association of Performing Arts Professionals

What?

Now more than ever, it’s important that the world hears the stories of arts workers. For this reason, this summer APAP is launching a new podcast, Arts. Work. Life.

Arts. Work. Life. is a podcast about what it’s like to work in the performing arts, featuring personal stories from artists and arts workers like YOU, behind-the-scenes and up close.

Framed by the pandemic, the racial reckoning and the great resignation, APAP wants to illuminate the depths of what it is to be an arts worker and amplify your untold stories.

Do you have a story to tell?

Storytellers whose stories are selected will work with a professional podcast producer who will help bring their story to life. Selected storytellers whose stories air will receive a $200 honorarium.

How to submit your story?

Submit your story by the priority deadline of May 9, 2022 at 5 p.m. (EDT).

LEARN MORE AND SUBMIT YOUR STORY

  • REDI (racial equity, diversity, and inclusion)
  • Compensation
  • Hiring and retention
  • Working in a post-pandemic world
  • Life on the road (or not on the road)
