Conferences, workshops, festival visits… By becoming a REMA member, you can take part in all REMA events and boost your own activities! In 2025, applications are open from 1 July to 8 October: new members will be welcomed on 1 January 2026. The 2026 General Assembly will be held in Malta from 20 to 22 January 2026.
REMA members are active in many fields related to early music: ensembles, festivals, concert halls, labels, agents, research institutes… you’ll get to know them better or make new connections!”Since 25 May 2023, REMA has been open to all types of early music players (ensembles, festivals, concert halls, research institutes, labels, agents, conservatoires, etc.).
There is only one way to join REMA: each year, a call for applications enables around thirty new organisations to join the REMA network. In 2025, applications are open from 1 July to 8 October: new members will be welcomed on 1 January 2026. The 2026 General Assembly will be held in Malta from 20 to 22 January 2026.

CRITERIA FOR JOINING
- Applicant organisations must have been in existence for a minimum of three years and possess a legal entity status.
- The Board of Directors will look at:
- The overall quality of the activities
- The alignment of the applicants’ values with REMA
- The criteria and selection process are detailed in the full call.
You will be asked to:
- Provide information about your organisation.
- Select a main activity: promoter, ensemble, education, research, agent, publisher or other. Once accepted, members can represent all their activities.
- Answer specific questions related to your main activity and submit relevant documentation (e.g. programme of activities, list of publications, concerts, etc.)
- Explain your motivation for joining REMA and how your values are in line with the network.
- Submit a letter of recommendation from a REMA member.
- Additional information: if you have taken part in a network project in the past, include this information in your application.
CODE OF CONDUCT
From the moment they apply, all candidates must endorse the network’s code of conduct, established with the members, which ensures adherence to professional ethics among REMA members.
The code of conduct delineates the expected or unlawful or inappropriate behavior from members, and outlines the procedure for penalizing such conduct.
