Open call voor Agents of Concern: video en korte lezingen

PXL-MAD, School of Arts, i.s.m. Universiteit Hasselt, organiseert een open oproep voor het project Agents of Concern: Images and Empathy — een conferentie en tentoonstelling, die van 16 november tot 15 december 2023 in Hasselt zal plaatsvinden.
Agents of Concern is een tentoonstelling en een conferentie, en wil een dialoog creëren tussen academische en artistieke manieren om beelden te gebruiken en erover te spreken. De tentoonstelling toont videowerken die verschillende uitingen van de empathische blik tonen en in vraag stellen. Deze werken omvatten Harun Farocki, Inextinguishable Fire (1969); Chloé Galibert-Laîné, Watching the Pain of Others (2018); Jill Godmilow, What Farocki Taught (1998); Florian Göttke, Toppled (2011); Jelena Jureša, Aphasia (Act Three) – “A Kid From the Neighbourhood” (2019); Rabih Mroué, On Three Posters (2004/2022); Goda Palekaitė, I Write While Disappearing (2021); en Frank Theys, Milgram Rewoken (2017/2023).
