Open Call for Leuven-Based Black Creatives

Oproep
Frames of Us

Frames of Us is coming to Leuven!
We’re looking for 4 Black creatives (18–26) based in or connected to Leuven who want to
document their lives and perspectives through (analog) photography. From May to November, you’ll take part in a creative trajectory where you’ll develop your own visual language, guided by artists and professionals in photography, storytelling, and exhibition-making. The project will culminate in a public exhibition in Leuven, where your work will be shared with a wider audience.

What is Frames of Us?

Frames of Us is a project by Black Lens Archive (BLA), a platform dedicated to archiving stories from Black communities and diaspora groups in Belgium through film and photography. This project invites participants to document your everyday life over several months through analog photography, focusing on the moments, people, and spaces that shape your reality in ways that feel true to you. Through Frames of Us we want participants to become authors of their own narratives. No prior experience with photography is required. We’re looking for people with a perspective, a sensitivity, and story to share.
