Open call for Full Contact 2026
Full Contact is a professional meeting space aimed at photographers and visual creators working with photography who wish to present their projects to international experts. It offers a valuable opportunity to receive feedback, expand professional networks, and explore new opportunities within the contemporary photography scene.
Submission details
- Eligibility: Persons of legal age residing in any European Union country or the United Kingdom
- Project type: The festival aims to promote visual storytelling among emerging artists. Any photographic series that tells a story may be submitted, regardless of subject
- Submission process: Applications must be submitted via the form available at www.scan.cat
Selection and participation
A jury composed of Ada Sbriccoli (independent curator, art researcher, and critic) and Arola Valls Bofill (independent curator, researcher, and lecturer) will select 12 projects. The selected artists will be invited to participate in the 9th edition of Full Contact. The jury’s decision is final.
Selected participants are expected to attend the event in person on 17 October 2026.

Full Contact Award
From the selected participants, a professional jury appointed by SCAN will choose one artist as the winner of the Full Contact Award 2026.
The award includes:
- A solo exhibition in 2027 as part of the official SCAN programme
- A fee of €900 (taxes included) for exhibition and communication rights
- Curatorial advice and support from the SCAN team, according to the festival’s technical and financial resources
