OPEN CALL: dress-up-tea-party invites artists 

For what

a dress-up tea party ascending from a fashion show, some high-society tea room and a rumbling artistic underbelly in belgium, krav nah koem & friends present a dress-up-tea-party on Saturday July 26th We want to create an event where artists can see their creations presented, activated by a public and combined with pieces from other artists within adjacent artistic fields. To come together to create and connect in an artistic, experimental way, have fun with other artists and friends and also create documentation for your creations.

How

with a whole lot of Fun And we would like you to join the fun!! but before we do, we have to be clear that for this party we have NO MONEY. We do have a space, a team of people and this plan. Therefore, we operate in a spirit of low-budget/high-aesthetic; we basically just want to create an experience, collaborating with artists from different disciplines and communities but with the same passion for dressing-up and play, that celebrates the fun of dressing up with friends and becoming a self-chosen character. We believe we don’t have to let financial scarcity stop us from this plan.

Who

on invitation, organized by krav nah Koem, emile & winnie t

Artistically trained in Belgium, krav nah koem creates pieces of clothing characterized by a rough-edged grace of elegance. Their friends are mostly pluridisciplinary artists invested in the fields of fine arts, music, fashion, dance, performance, tattoo, scenography & more.

Since we will hopefully be with a decent number of artists and we want to create an intimate, familiar and safe atmosphere during the event, we decided that we will work with an attendance-on invitation system. Which means for now that every participating artist can invite a limited amount of people to come to the party!

So all that being said we are pleased to hereby present this open call to you and ALL ARTISTS who work with media that metamorphosize the human figure to partake in this party; Clothing / Accessories / Hair / Tattoo / Make-up / Nails & Fragrance. But also artists who are into transforming space through Sound / Music / Performance & Light.
