What is PAC – PERFORMING ARTS IN CONTEXTS?
The academic network facilitates dialogue between different working principles, objectives and self-understandings.
The aim of PAC is to form an international network of teachers, researchers and artists in the field of higher education and to develop a permanent conference for the performing arts in contexts. Focus of PAC are the fields of applied theatre, theatre pedagogy, performing arts, theatre in social fields, community theatre, theatre in education, drama teacher and related subjects. The network facilitates dialogue between different working principles, objectives and self-understandings. PAC provides a framework in which interests can be articulated and working groups can be formed and established.
PAC is looking for lecturers in the field of applied theatre. The international conference, set up as a working meeting, is aimed at university teachers training for the fields of applied theatre, theatre education, performing arts, community theatre, theatre in education, drama teacher and related fields.
1st PAC MEETING
PAC 2022 will be conducted in hybrid mode, digital and at the same time on site. In Zurich, it will bring together teachers from as many different countries as possible. Therefore, a maximum of 4 participants per country will be accepted to come to Zurich, all those who register can participate digitally in the conference.
Registration will take place in two phases, first on a “first comes first” basis, then we will see where the quotas are filled and where there are still places available. These will then also be allocated according to the date of receipt, but no longer according to the country criterion.
As already announced in the save the date, are we in the process of raising funds for travel costs, that cannot be covered by your universities. Please write to us again, if you need help to cover your costs.
Be assured, that we will do everything we can, to help you. However, since we have not yet committed the necessary financial resources, as mentioned above, but still have to acquire them, we cannot guarantee the takeover at this point in time.
