International Art Prize 2025
A free to enter open call for drawing and painting running simultaneously across six global cities, founded by Winsor & Newton and Paul Smith’s Foundation. Six artists will be by chosen by a notable local industry representative who has the network and experience to develop the artist’s professional practice. The cities are London, New York, Copenhagen, Shanghai, Antwerp and Nottingham. Judges will be announced soon.
This year’s theme is: ‘Defining your point of view’
Entries close on 17th April 2025.
The Prize
• £1000 worth of Winsor & Newton art materials.
• £1000 bursary from Paul Smith’s Foundation.
• Your final work exhibited in a Paul Smith store and group show.
• Invitation into the International Art Prize mentoring programme.
• Funded international travel to London.
• Access to international network of industry leaders.
Who can apply?
• The prize is open to artists of all abilities within the first 10 years of their career.
• Applicants may be based anywhere in the world but must be able to deliver artwork to their selected Paul Smith store in one of the six cities by September 2025.
• Works accepted in painting and drawing up to size A0.
• Able to complete the commission in summer 2025.
