Ga op residentie bij Ohme – Democracy Under Pressure: Challenges and Innovations
Ohme lanceert een open call voor kunstenaars rond het BrIAS 2025-27-thema Democracy Under Pressure: Challenges and Innovations, in samenwerking met BrIAS, mede-opgericht en geleid door de Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB) en de Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB).
Deze oproep richt zich tot kunstenaars die verbonden zijn met het hedendaagse kunstveld in Vlaanderen — met andere woorden: kunstenaars die wonen, werken of professioneel actief zijn binnen de Nederlandstalige kunstgemeenschap van België.
Wij staan open voor alle media binnen de cross-sectorale kunsten. Cross-sectorale kunsten vertrekken vanuit een te onderscheiden kunstdiscipline, maar daarbij wordt intensief samengewerkt met maatschappelijke domeinen buiten de kunstensector (zoals wetenschap, zorg of onderwijs).

How to Apply?
Applications must be sent before 30/11/2025, 11:59 PM, as a single PDF file, in English, to opencall[at]ohme.be
The application must include:
• An up-to-date CV, in English.
• A portfolio, in English
• A text (1 page max., in English) explaining your interest in the residency and the theme “Democracy Under Pressure.”
• A statement of intent (2 pages max., in English) regarding the artistic project you wish to develop or refine, including:
– A project description;
– Images and/or sketches, diagrams, if relevant;
– Explanation of the approach (questions raised, implications, influences, etc.);
– Explanation of how your project articulates with the BrIAS program’s work streams.
• A provisional budget.
